EDUCATION AND OUTREACH OVERVIEW
The Exploration Life Support Project Education Team is an organization of representatives from the various ELS centers and universities, striving to coordinate, organize and strengthen the Education and Outreach (EO) activities of the ELS Project.
Objectives of Exploration Life Support Project Education:
- Educate the public of ELS research activities according to the guidelines and criteria set forth by NASA Education.
- Strengthen and coordinate the educational and public outreach efforts within the ELS Project nation wide.
- Create and maintain an active and regular communication structure for education outreach within the ELS Project.
- Organize and leverage the EO efforts with NASA Education, the Office of Biological and Physical Research, the Advanced Human Support Technology Program, members of the ELS community, other government agencies, and the private/public sector.
- Act as an EO advisory group to ELS project management.
